Challenge & Approach
During the COVID-19 pandemic and now as our communities begin to reopen, Beverly Hospital and Quick’rCare helped patients understand that when you need medical care, you should seek treatment. Urgent Care facilities and Emergency Departments were overburdened during the heights of the crisis, which put pressure on staff to assess and triage patients quickly. When staff are overwhelmed with admissions and assessments, that can be dealt with by other departments, their ability to spend time with the higher acuity patients who need them most is hindered.
Quick’rCare’s partnership with Beverly before and during the pandemic allowed the staff to triage patients before they arrive and reduce wait times to improve health outcomes.,
