Summer is in the air and that means a lot of travel too. Have A Plan

Laying out a plan for your trip is the start of any successful vacation. You’ll want to see if there are any vaccinations required before heading to you destination so you can make sure you stay safe. If your doctor is too busy to see you then book an appointment on QuickrCare.com to get this done easily. Pack a first aid kit with bandaids, alcohol swabs, Advil, as well as allergies and motion sickness medication. It’s better to be safe than sorry, or pay $10 for one motion sickness tablet on a cruise.

Protect Yourself From The Sun

Of course you should try to protect your skin from the sun on a regular basis, but this is especially important if you’re going somewhere that has more sun exposure than what your skin is used to. Not only can the sun’s ultraviolet rays damage the skin, but it can also have damaging effects on your eyes and immune system too. Make sure you’re using sunglasses and apply SPF 30 or higher sunscreen throughout the day every 30 minutes. Wear a hat if possible and keep an eye on you and your family’s time in the sun.

Drink Plenty Of Water

For any healthy lifestyle, water should be a staple. It’s understandable that when you’re traveling it can be easy to forget to get that hydrations. That’s why it is important to bring your own with you whether it is in a reusable water bottle or plastic. If you know you’re going to be drinking alcohol then you definitely want to make sure you’re drinking more water than usual. Alcohol is dehydrating and adding sun exposure can make things worse. Again, stay out of the sun and keep hydrated. Limit your intake of alcohol, sugar and salt as they’re not your friends during the hotter months.

Stay Active

It’s easy to want to stay in your hotel room or AirBnB and order Postmates all day. , but that will be doing a disservice to yourself and your body. Pack some of your athletic wear and go to your hotel’s gym to workout. Working out helps with a variety of things like staying fit, keeping you energized, and regulate emotions. Sticking to your fitness routine is essential to keep you feeling good. If your hotel doesn’t have a gym, you can also workout on the beach or take a walk to some local hot spots.
